The folks over at Bici Adventure have crafted an intriguing infographic about the world’s hardest mountain bike challenges.

I can think of a few off the top of my head that aren’t on this list. Let us know in the comments section below what you think should be added!

    5,600 meter peak? Egad!

    (that’s 18,373 feet–almost a full 4k higher than anything in Colorado)

Had no idea about such rides except Tour Divide and Death Road. I’d love to ride Nomadic Trails – such a great vacation.

Very cool to see all these challenges–I’m inspired!

I’ve never heard of Kokoda but it seems like La Ruta might have been an even more extreme choice for the “jungle environment.”

I also never understood the appeal of the “death road” in Bolivia. For starters, it’s a ROAD that cars and buses are able to navigate. Does anyone even still ride this on mountain bikes? The latest cyclist death stats are from 1998–that’s 16 years ago!
