Riders of hardtails, rigid bikes, and gravel bikes will be happy to hear that Cane Creek has an all-new suspension seatpost out, the Thudbuster LT (available at JensonUSA and Wiggle). The original Thudbuster has been in the Cane Creek line for over 20 years, and they say the LT version is “superior to its predecessor in every way.”
The Thudbuster LT takes the older version’s parallel linkage design, and has redesigned it for better durability and more travel, now 90mm. There is also a tool-free way to change the elastomer, and a single-bolt seat clamp design.
The LT also comes four months after Cane Creek made an ST version of the Thudbuster.
Cane Creek says the LT can easily accommodate a wide range of rider weights without tools, just by changing the elastomer. The weight limit on the LT is 250lbs.
The length of the 30.9mm and 31.6mm diameters are 420mm, and the 27.2mm diameter post has a total length of 390mm. The post has a claimed weight of 750g, a minimum extension of 146mm, and a max extension of 320mm for the 30.9mm and 31.6mm posts, and 290mm for the 27.2mm seatpost. The Thudbuster LT retails for $180.
