The Line rim profile sees the most dramatic changes, with a shallower depth and a 4.6mm-thick hook wall. The thicker hook is said to reduce pinch flats significantly, and it’s interesting to note that Roval recently came to the same conclusion, beefing up their hook thicknesses on the latest Control SL rims as well. The 30mm-internal-width rims are well suited to most trail and enduro tires up to 2.6-inches wide.

Bontrager offers the updated rim profile in 27.5 and 29er diameters, and at two different price points. A Line Elite wheelset weighs 1,890g and is priced at $899 for the pair. The lighter Line Pro set weighs 1,760g and costs $1,299. Both feature Rapid Drive rear hubs with 108-degrees of engagement.

All Bontrager Line wheels come with a 2-year crash repair and replacement warranty, and a lifetime warranty against defects with no rider weight limit.
