Mountain bikers get six acres for bike park

Chico, California

The Chico City Council transferred ownership of six acres to the Chico Area Recreation and Park District (CARD) and plans call for using the land for a new bike park. Dubbed the Notre Dame Bike Park, the project is estimated to cost $3 million and will take about two years to complete.

Kestrel Run completes the Raptor Route

Moab, Utah

The final two miles of the Raptor Route, known as Kestrel Run, opened in Moab this year thanks to the efforts of Trail Mix volunteers and Grand County Active Transportation and Trails. The complete route is 11.4 miles long and is an intermediate to advanced trail.
