The Pisgah Conservancy is raffling off a custom Reeb Hall Pass steel hardtail plus two nights at Pilot Cove just outside Pisgah National Forest. If you’ve never been to Pisgah, this could be your lucky chance!

Now in its 10th year, the Pisgah Project Bike Raffle raises money for The Pisgah Conservancy (TPC), a Brevard, North Carolina nonprofit founded in 2015 that’s dedicated to supporting the Pisgah Ranger District. Tickets are $30 each, and the more tickets you buy, the better your chances.

The bike: A custom Reeb Hall Pass hardtail with titanium cranks and a bikepacking bag setup

This year’s raffle bike is built around a Reeb Hall Pass hardtail that’s set up for bikepacking and includes a 130mm Cane Creek Helm MKII fork, Cane Creek eeWings titanium cranks, an Industry Nine Wanderer Classic carbon wheelset, a 180mm Fox Transfer Factory dropper, and a Shimano XT 12-speed drivetrain with four-piston brakes. Rockgeist bags are part of the package too, and the winner gets to pick their frame size.

It’s a one-of-one build, and with the carbon wheels and titanium cranks, I estimate it would cost around $8,000 to put this bike together on your own.

Where the money goes

The Pisgah Conservancy “works in partnership with the U.S. Forest Service to provide key resources for the benefit of Pisgah and its visitors for generations to come.” The group has supported many trail projects that benefit riders, including the construction of the Searcy Creek Connector, a roughly one-mile trail that was part of the larger Butter Gap project with Pisgah Area SORBA and the Forest Service. TPC also organizes Pisgah Project Day, an annual volunteer workday in the forest, and is a major force behind recovery efforts following Hurricane Helene.

How to enter the raffle

Tickets are on sale through 8 pm EDT on November 4, and the winner will be drawn at random on November 5. Entrants must be 18 or older. If you’re in western North Carolina, you can see the bike in person at Weevil Outdoor in Pisgah Forest through October 25, Motion Makers Bicycle Shop in Asheville October 26-29, and Trailside Brewing in Hendersonville.
