Chain stay flip chip.

The 2021 Nukeproof Dissent 297 not only seeks to benefit from the advantages of both wheel sizes, it also adds a 3-position adjustable chain stay to the existing main pivot flip chip. The chain stay adjuster uses dropout inserts to alter the bike’s wheelbase by 5-10mm, while the main pivot flip chip serves to alter the suspension progressivity rather than the bike’s geometry itself.

Other highlights include a 157x12mm Superboost rear axle and a 63° head tube angle.

With the updates, Nukeproof is phasing out the 275 for all sizes except small, so size medium frame buyers and up will have to choose from either the 297 or 290. According to the brand the more affordable Comp spec 297 weighs 38.35lbs. with tubeless tires.

Pricing for 2021 Dissent alloy frames is a reasonable $1999USD / €2,299, and complete builds for the 297 mixed-wheel bike start at $3299.99USD. The bikes are now available from Nukeproof dealers and Chain Reaction Cycles.
