Dakine has a new version of their Slayer knee pads out, and they are lighter for everyday trail rides.

In total, the Slayer lineup includes three low-profile knee pads, and two different elbow pads.

The Slayer Pro Knee Pad

The CE-certified Slayer Pro knee pad retails for $75 (available at Backcountry.com), and has the most robust protection out of the lineup. The Pros have an adjustable elastic strap and a silicone gripper to stay right where they need to be. The Slayers also have the Dakine DK Impact energy absorbing foam, which soaks up impact and remains flexible, according to Dakine.

The Slayer Knee Sleeve

The Slayer knee pad for $65 and elbow pad for $60 each have lower profiles and are lightweight, for everyday riding. Dakine also has the Slayer Knee and Elbow Sleeve, for $55 and $50, which are the most lightweight and breathable pads they offer, with perforated impact foam.

“Dakine riders worldwide have long appreciated the Slayer pads for their pedal-friendly protection. With this updated series, we have improved upon and expanded this popular line to offer several levels of padding for different types of rides. No matter your skill level, riding with confidence is key and the new Slayer Series provides another level of reassurance without sacrificing comfort,” says MTB Marketing Director for Dakine, Gabe Schroder.

Dakine also has a new version of the Seeker hydration pack, in an 18- and 10-liter, as well as a 6-liter hip pack. The packs retail for $180, $160, and $90 respectively. They are weatherproof packs, with Hydrapak lumbar reservoirs, which keep the water lower down on the back for better stability.
