Luca Shaw and Loris Vergier Join Greg Minnaar on the Santa Cruz Syndicate Team

Check out the cheeky team intro video above to see how the new Santa Cruz Syndicate team is “training” for the 2017 World Cup Downhill season.

The Santa Cruz Syndicate downhill team is undergoing some major changes for 2017. With both Steve Peat and Josh “Ratboy” Bryceland retiring from racing World Cups, the team needed some fresh talent.

Joining the Syndicate team are a pair of 20-year old rippers: American Luca Shaw and Frenchman Loris Vergier. Shaw joins the Syndicate from the SRAM/Troy Lee Designs team, but is no stranger to Santa Cruz since that team ran the V10 as well.

Vergier spent much of his young career on Lapierre before moving to Specialized for the 2016 season. Vergier has two Junior World Cup overall titles, a Junior World Championship title, as well as two podiums at the elite level.

The winningest World Cup racer of all time, Greg Minnaar, will remain on the team. Steve Peat, while retired, will still be active at the races, supporting the young riders.
