4. Scott Spark
Scott gave its bread-and-butter Spark XC/light trail bike a major overhaul last year, and it appears our readers approved! The Spark line runs deep with 28 different models, split across three variations. The Spark RC is the race rocket of the family with 100mm of travel front and rear — it’s the bike Scott athletes Nino Schurter and Jenny Rissveds have used to kick just about everyone’s ass, in every race, ever. In the middle is the Spark which keeps the sprightly XC weight, but bumps the travel up to 120mm front and rear. Lastly, there’s the Spark Plus which gets chubby tires and 130mm of front travel. Throw in the fact there are alloy and carbon frame options, and there’s a Spark for everyone.
