Marin El Roy ‘DH’ hardtail in for test

This is one long, slack hardtail. The Marin El Roy was updated this year, and we’ve got the updated steel slasher in for test. A DH-slack 63° head tube angle is matched with a steep 78° seat tube angle, 140mm of Marzocchi Bomber Z1 travel, and a 510mm reach on the size grande pictured here. We’ve only squeezed in a few test rides but so far we’re impressed with how well it rides. (By the way, we’re testing out a Discord server and first posted this bike over there.)

Arcade Belts Purple Pinnacle Collection

Photo: Arcade Belts

Arcade Belts had us rethinking the belt. Belts were reserved for cousins’ weddings, (in-person) job interviews, and when mom said tuck your shirt in. Enter the stretchy Arcade Belt that instantly elevates those everyday jeans, jorts, and yes, even mountain bike shorts. For extra style points, go with the poppin’ purple belts from the new Pinnacle Collection that will pair nicely with your PNW Loam Fruit Snacks pedals.

Shredly Trail Romper

This purple beauty is for the unapologetic bada$$ mountain biking boss ladies out there. You have work to do, or play to do. Whatever it is, everyone and everything will get out of your way once you don this trail romper/power suit and hit the trails. Hallelujah, no more cinched up or tucked in bellies, or having to settle for basic black shorts just so your dang top matches! And hell yes to short shorts, no hiding those strong, powerful legs. Stop thinking about it and go buy both colors (wisteria and pine), one for you and one for your best gal!

Floyd’s of Leadville Sports Creams ease recovery

Floyd’s of Leadville, the CBD-focused recovery brand led by Floyd Landis, has some new CBD “sports creams” on the market including full spectrum CBD options with both a warming and cooling blend. Floyd’s says the creams are “perfect for soothing sore muscles post-workout or for keeping your skin and body feeling healthy throughout the day.” The creams are free of artificial preservatives and are made form US-grown hemp. As marketed, they produce an icy or warm sensation when rubbed on skin.

American Classic mountain bike tires on trail

We’re currently testing a few American Classic mountain bike tires, including the Basanite model pictured here. Last year the brand debuted a line of gravel tires, and this year they’ve added MTB treads for trail and enduro riding. The tires are reasonably priced so we’ll be interested to see how they perform on the trail.
