New $549 RockShox Domain RC Fork Features 38mm Stanchions

If you've been pining for a sturdy new RockShox Zeb, but don't have the cash, you're in luck! The Rockshox Domain is a big mountain bike fork with a small price.

If you’ve been pining for a sturdy new RockShox Zeb, but don’t have the cash, you’re in luck! The RockShox Domain fork is back, now with 38mm stanchions for a stiffer front end, and it retails for just $549, €594*, or £530* (*includes VAT).

The Domain can be ordered with 150-180mm of travel for 27.5″ or 29″ wheels, both with a 44mm offset, and it makes space for up to a 2.8″ tire. Like the lighter Zeb the Domain is compatible with a 200mm rotor out of the box, with no adapter purchase necessary.

Slightly heavier 6000 series aluminum upper tubes are part of what drops the price, though they also bring the weight up to a claimed 2,540g or 5.6lbs. Given the different internal tube diameters, RockShox says that the damper and air spring from a Zeb will not fit in this fork, but there are damper upgrades available. The Domain comes with a Motion Control RC damper with Maxima Plush fluid for reduced noise and smooth action. The DebonAir air spring is as tunable as ever, and end stroke progression can be adjusted by adding or removing volume spacers.

There is also a short screw-mounted fender available for an additional $20.
