270 Racers Registered for Sweat Shaker – WHAT A FANTASTIC DAY!
MMCC wants to thank everyone (racers, sponsors and volunteers) who helped us raise over $6,000 to support MMCC Athletics and Student Athlete Scholarships!
This year’s race featured riders from all over Michigan, Illinois, Ohio, South Carolina, New Jersey and even Canada with our youngest rider being just 9 years old and our oldest an amazing 74 years young!

MMCC does apologize – there was a small glitch with the timing system that affected 4 racers and the age categories they were assigned to within the timing system. This has since been resolved by Superior Timing and the results that are posted are correct.

MMCC is so pleased to host events on campus for our community and to see all of you arrive to support the various causes these events benefit. While on campus if you need assistance in any way please ask – we’re happy to help! Restrooms are available near registration along with portable toilets outside. We will have bottled water available for racers near the finish line as well. If you have any suggestions on how MMCC can better serve our guests, please let us know. See you all Saturday, June 25!
Heads up Sweat Shakers – the trails will be CLOSED this Saturday (June 11) for the MUTT Trail Races. Proceeds from Sweat Shaker support MMCC Athletics. MMCC is a small community college that provides all-star athletic opportunities for our students. We currently feature Men’s and Women’s Basketball and Cross Country. Special congratulations to our Women’s Basketball Team who finished in 5<sup>th</sup> Place at the Division III Nationals!
After the race lunch is provided for registered racers – we will have a variety of sub sandwiches and chips available with a selection of beverages. Awards and Cash Prizes will be announced along with our giveaway prize winners. You must be present to win the giveaway prizes.

What a fantastic race! MMCC hosted 150 Rust Shaker Racers on a perfect day for mountain biking. Together we raised nearly $2,500 to support student scholarships and trail maintenance and we gave away over $1,500 in cash prizes to racers! Thanks for a great event and we hope to see more of you at the next Rust Shaker!

Ok Rust Shaker Racers – the race map will be posted soon (just a few more tweaks to make). Expect about 9 miles (1 lap) for the beginner level, about 13 miles (1 lap) for the sport level and about 25 miles (2 laps) for the expert level. There will pizza, awards and giveaways following the race so make sure you stick around.
SPECIAL NOTE: Trails at MMCC will be CLOSED to the public Saturday, April 30 8am-3pm due to the Rust Shaker. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Directions: From US-127 take Mannsiding Road exit. Go east on Mannsiding Road, turn left on Clare Avenue (stop sign) and continue 1/2 mile straight to MMCC’s main entrance (first right).

29 Rust Shaker Racers Are Now Registered!
Ok Mountain Bike Enthusiasts – shake off the rust of winter and get ready to race! Our course is set and race preparations are under way. Expect about 9 miles (1 lap) for the beginner level, about 13 miles (1 lap) for the sport level and about 25 miles (2 laps) for the expert level. There will pizza, awards and giveaways following the race so make sure you stick around. Remember, while mountain biking is great for your health you can also do something great for community by participating in Rust Shaker – A portion of the proceeds benefit MMCC student scholarships and trail maintenance. So pay it forward and put yourself first by racing at Rust Shaker!
