After having a Ross Mt Tam, Cannondale 700, a Nishki eStay POS and numerous other old school bikes through the 80’s and 90’s, I sold all & stopped riding for 12 years.

This summer I got the itch back, BAD! I went shopping for a new bike and after trying out literally 40-50 bikes I picked up a hardtail – the Overdrive 29er. Have never had so much on a bike! It rides like a dream. Getting the front wheel up took a little practice but feels like I never stopped riding.

Also, this is my first bike with any suspension and while I really didn’t care for the Dart 3 fork, I love the new Reba. A world of difference.

A neighbor gave me his Hardrock Sport that sat against the garage for 3 years. I put about $150 into it and it’s a fun ride, but mostly my wife rides it.

Ride a good amount of bikes before you buy. While I highly recommend a 29er, especially of you are over 5’10" – it doesn’t matter which size you prefer as long as it keeps you riding.
