I never stretched when I was younger. Not even before my PFT’s in the Marines. When I was still in my mid forties I didn’t either. Granted I was running not biking. But Even a year & a half ago I would walk into the gym, get onto the elliptical machine, bump the resistance to 10 of 25 and knock out three miles in 16:00 or a little less. Walk 3 or 4 minutes to cool down and got to my weight training.

I don’t think I will consider stretching before a ride now. The riding now is my stretch considering I haven’t been getting around without crutches or a wheelchair. My goal now is to get my strength back.

I’m about to roll over 50.

I know that I am the exception, but someone has to be the oddball out there. Right?
