Invest in a gear bag. it’s worth it! Solves the problem of forgetting stuff. Mine has a ventilated shoe pouch (required! lol), helmet pouch, I always leave my pads, extra tubes, some tools in it. All I have to do is grab my camelbak or a couple water bottles, throw them in and I’m good to go! Of course, if I forget my gear bag I’m really out of luck!
Yep a gear bag is the way to go. I just ordered one myself. I keep my shoes and helmet in the truck but I forgot my shoes due to carpooling. When I swapped my gear to the other car I completely overlooked my shoes. I sat in the car and read while the others went on the ride. At least we’re going back to the same trail this weekend.
