After a dream 2016 season which saw Jenny Rissveds and Nino Schurter win gold at both the Rio Olympic Games and World Championships, the team is getting a new title sponsorship from SRAM. As part of a four-year deal, the new SCOTT-SRAM team will be looking to dominate World Cup XC racing with the long term goal of setting their riders up for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.

The SCOTT-SRAM team’s roster for 2017 includes: Jenny Rissveds, Nino Schurter, Matthias Stirnemann, Andri FrischknechtMichiel van der Heijden, and Marcel Wildhaber for cyclocross.

SRAM has been a part of the SCOTT team since it began in 2002. The big change for 2017 and beyond is that SRAM’s suspension brand RockShox will now replace DT Swiss for forks and shocks. However, SCOTT-SRAM will still be rolling on DT Swiss wheels. Additional sponsors include: Maxxis for tires, Syncros components, and Odlo for clothing.

“Working with living legends like Thomas Frischknecht and Nino Schurter is a true privilege we couldn’t be happier about. Their success and their undivided partnership have formed the image of SCOTT as a brand for many years. Cross-Country racing is the spearhead of development for the mountain bike industry. No other discipline influences the sport of mountain biking more than Olympic Cross Country. To run an XC race team on the highest level requires the uncompromised support of many parties. With the total support of industry leaders such as SRAM, RockShox, DT Swiss, Maxxis, Syncros, Odlo we have the strongest industry players aside our global race team, and we are sure to continuously push the sport and MTB products for the next four years.” -Reto Aeschbacher, Brand Manager of SCOTT Sports

“SRAM is thrilled to renew its partnership with SCOTT and the racing team. New this year for us is the addition of the RockShox brand so we couldn’t be more excited. Coming off such a #gloRIOus year, we are committed to providing the best level of service and support to the team and riders, as well as the best performing products for continued success.” -David Zimberoff, SRAM’s VP of Marketing
