SRAM’s GX group was introduced last year, making 11-speed drivetrains affordable to more riders than ever before. Now the company is adding DH-specific parts to the GX line for gravity riders looking to shred on a budget.

The new DH-specific components include a 7-speed, Type 2.1 derailleur, shifter, and 11-25t cassette.  There isn’t a DH-specific crankset or chain included in the group; instead, buyers can choose the GX-1000 or GX-1400 crankset and utilize the 11-speed PC-1130 chain. Unlike the 11-speed GX cassette, the GH DH cassette works with a standard splined driver body (no need for a special XD driver body).

All parted out, buyers should be able to get this group for around $350 at current retail prices. Weight for the entire group comes in around 1,700g, on par with the previous 11-speed GX group.
