Chromag announces the Dagga DH flat mountain bike pedal and updates the Surface titanium all-mountain hardtail.

With the purpose-built tracks of coastal British Columbia at their behest, the team at Chromag Bikes is expected to create some super sweet goods. Currently featuring 8 hardtail bikes in the line, ranging from enduro to DJ, and a massive selection of quality components, Chromag has certainly set out to satisfy dirt riders’ desires.

Burly new Dagga DH Pedals

New Dagga DH Pedals

At the 2018 Eurobike expo, Chromag released their new Dagga DH pedals. The Dagga is their largest platform and widest stance offering, giving riders plenty of space to modulate their footing across the 24 height-adjustable traction pins. Pedal thickness is 14.3mm at the center, with sealed bearings (outer) and a bushing (inner) wrapped around a robust Chromoly axle. Designed with the help of Australian DH racer Chris Kovarik, the pedal’s main features will shine bright under the high impact-conditions of true DH.

Pedal features:

  • Concave design, 14.3mm at platform center
  • CNC’d from a solid 6061 alloy billet
  • Size 120mm x 115mm
  • Pin Placement, 24 adjustable height
  • Weight 480 grams
  • Colors: Black, red, blue, silver, purple

Chromag Surface Ti 29″/27.5″+

Surface Ti 29″/27.5+

The BC-born, Chromag Surface Ti hardtail is a unique beast. The Surface sits solidly in the all-mountain hardtail category, designed for a 150mm fork and 29×2.4” or 27.5×2.8” tires. Leaning into a 66° head tube and 75° seat tube angle, the bike is clearly capable of dropping your friends downhill and keeping pace on the climbs. With external cable routing and an external BSA bottom-bracket, this is a frame to keep most home mechanics riding more than tinkering. The frame is constructed from custom-drawn Ti tubes, resulting in a dialed ride quality on rocky BC singletrack.

Plenty of clearance for 29×2.5″ or 27.5x 2.8″ tread

The first batch of the Surface Ti sold out almost immediately, and Chromag will update their site with availability as soon as the next run is ready. For the second batch, they have shortened the seat tubes across the size run by 20mm to make room for a wider range of dropper posts. For those who dream of the perfect hardcore hardtail, this frame is calling your name.

Price: Complete build with SRAM Eagle and RS Lyric fork for $6,450, or frame only $3,100.
