It’s been a quick turnaround for the World Cup teams. After racing in Fort William, Scotland, last weekend, the series moves to Leogang, Austria, for Round #3 this weekend. Leogang has been one of the more bike park-y tracks on the calendar and it looks to have been smoothed even further for 2017. Some riders are complaining about the lack of technical features on the course, but one thing is certain–speeds will be high!
American Aaron Gwin has won the Leogang round for the past two years, including without a chain in 2015. Can he make it a hat trick in 2017? Rachel Atherton, whose 14-race-long win streak came to end after dislocating her shoulder in Round #2, hasn’t yet completely ruled out racing this weekend.
