I have traveled all over my state (Virginia) riding some of the nicest trails the sport has to offer. In the past year I have bought and sold 12 mountain bikes mostly for profit. My first mountain bike was a Diamondback Response within 2 weeks the rear derailer hanger broke into and the rims warped the seat was hard as a rock. I bought a used trek 4500 it was a great bike the shifters and derailers were perfect but the bike just didnt fit me.Then I ordered a 2013 Fuji Nevada 1.7 from the Local Bike Shop. This is the best mountain bike Ive ever had. Its superlite awesome components and the geometry is perfect. Im only 5-5 and bought a 15" frame. This bike is awesome. It climbs great, flies through the air with ease off of jumps. There is absolutley no frame flex. The Suntour XCM Shocks feel better than most High dollar hydraulic forks. the Vera rims and tires take a beating without warping, and the cable disc brakes grab great. In the past year I have bought and sold a Specialized Hardrock, Specialized Rockhopper, Giant NRS full suspension, Giant Rincon, Mongoose Pro Wing Elite, Haro Flightline, GT Agressor, Mongoose XR 75. These bikes do not even compare to the Fuji Nevada. Fuji has been around for well over 100 years. They are one of the oldest bike companys on the planet and for good reason they build a quality product. Magazines and web sites never do reviews on Fuji products. I just dont get it. There is a mountain bike park in Colorado that rents bikes, their entire rental Fleet is FUJI REVEAL full suspnsion bikes. They know the deal. Do yourself a favor if you want a great mountain bike check out Fujis line up. They are reasonably priced and the quality topnotch. The absolute best hardtail on the market for the money.

Yeah totally! Was seriously surprised to find practically NO articles on Fuji bikes…no nearly as many as compared to other brands… they are in the Top 3 (under the big 3 Specialized, Trek, Giant) I was told they have very, very nice road bikes and their mountain bikes are sweet also…. I am just so amazed that they are an “under the cover” brand…. I bought a Fuji Reveal the other day totally stoked great components… and very affordable stoked hope more people find out about this brand join the “gang”. Also they now own Performance Bikes… so you get a bit of a deal when you buy a Fuji at Performance…

Aaron reviewed the Fuji Bighorn and Fuji Rakan just a few months ago:
But I agree, Fuji bikes don’t get nearly the coverage of other brands.
Here are a couple more, slightly older items Fuji items:

Agreed, their bikes do tend to fly under the radar. Our contributor, John Fisch, also reviewed the Breezer Supercell a while back, which is similar to the Rakan: https://www.singletracks.com/blog/mtb-reviews/test-ride-review-breezer-supercell/
My lady got herself a Fuji cross bike this past fall and it was a lot of bike for the money. Carbon fork, disc brakes, 11-speed drivetrain, all for around $1,000 as it was being closed out to make room for the 2017 model at a local bike shop.

Yeah, i did see those articles on Fuji obviously it isn’t like they don’t exist but interesting that they don’t get as much coverage. Fuji owns Performance as you probably know but they also own or are connected to Breezer.

I picked up a Rakan 1.5 around Christmas as a “get back into mountain biking bike”, but haven’t had a chance to wring it out, it’s good to hear good news about the brand.

I was tempted to buy one before I bought my current bike but from what I have read they have the worst customer service. That is a deal breaker for me.
