      Hello “Singletracks” members,

Ehm.. My english language is not best but I will try a good write (I apologize) :).

In the coming months I want buy a brand new bike with full suspension. I have 9000 z?/2500 $ USD/2100 €/1850 £ GBP. I have a problem because, I don’t know what kind of bike I should choose. I was in Giant Store. I wanted to see a new Giant Anthem 27.5 2018. I fell in love with this bike. In my city there are no mountains and maybe 130mm/110mm suspension for lowlands and technical singletracks (Polish mountains) is good option for me? I don’t like jumps. Maybe typical trail bike like Trance or enduro bike like Reign is too much for me.

Please tell me, what I should do and what bike choose. If you know a similar bike to Anthem 27.5 tell me what is it a bike :).

      Regards

      Bart

      Any advice?

While the Trance is a lot of bike, it works well on all terrain, but the Anthem is also a good all around bike. I like technical trails, riding over rocks and logs, so I would go for the Trance. You can’t really go wrong with either bike.

Thank you for your answer Alvin. Some people say that Anthem is pseudo trail bike because travel shock, fork is too short “XC on steroids”. I think Anthem is good choose if you riding style is not aggresive.

What about position on bike? Trance have more upright position like on enduro bike? More them Anthem?

Not a lot of difference, but not that important either, as a good set of riser bars and/or different stem to adjust the position to suit your personal preference is not that much. I have a Giant Stance, I got a shorter stem, and riser bars, so it fit what I like better.
