Trail Description
About this trail
Be ready to hit the hills. The first thing you will encounter a series of switchbacks, seven in all going up the hill. Its a given your legs will get a work out. When you hit the top its off to the races. There are several hills, a couple of rock gardens, several bridges, and a pretty good drop for some great riding. If you like technical you will get that here too. Its a good mix with some trees to go over too. You wont get bored with this trail.

Review: Skip this trail - it is closed as of 9/1/18. We got stopped by a county maintenance worker after we ran it. He informed us that the county lost it's insurance to maintain the trail as of April/May. But we did know that till after. The trail has not been maintained in a long time. Some erosion, lots of debris. At times the trial was not marked and it was obvious. Some lines required paying a lot of attention to, because the trails were overgrown. The 7-dwarfs hill was extremely difficult and technical, lot of switch backs and VERY WET and MUDDY. All of this was a bad sign but we ran it anyway. Trail crossed the Wagon Trail at some point, like 6-7 miles in, and not marked well. We ended up ON the wagon trail, got lost, ended up at the bottom of the ravine after doing all-out downhill biking for a half-mile. It was not fun walking back up once we realized our mistake. Regardless, it was probably the least "fun" I have had on a bike, but I sole attribute this to the fact that the trail is CLOSED.

Review: Initial climb to the top can be challenging, especially climbing the tight switchback turns. Decent ride at the top. Trails aren't marked well, but are worth exploring to find some hiddem gems. Definitely get a good workout here, and the best part is descending on the way to the finish.

Review: Rode 11/23/17 and nearly all the trail was great.I sort of got turned around after the Chicken Run part that is somewhere around a 12' drop off that was right on.The first part of the trail is almost all climb and then flattens out for a good ride with plenty of log crossings to hop over. All trails are decently marked.Alot of work has taken place and it shows.GREAT JOB.Will Defentiely need brakes for the descent.

Review: This was one of the most challenging trails I've ridden. Lots of challenging switchbacks, climbs an beautiful scenery. Trails are well marked now. This trail has a little bit of everything. The trail drains well so it's good to ride soon after a big rain. Thanks to all those that have put in the hard work to make this such a great place to ride.

Review: Close to a year post-renovation and this trail is in absolutely fantastic shape. A few parts have been added in the last month that look to be great additions. In short, this is a premier Trail in KY. The climb in and descent out are absolutely no joke. Very difficult.

Review: Hats off to the volunteers who give their blood, sweat and free time to make this trail the gem that it is. Approximately 45 minutes south of Louisville, KY - I will be back. There is some serious climbing, twisty sections, plenty of log overs, bridges and tight, switchback down hills.

Review: Trails were renovated this year and have never been better. There is about 10 miles of hilly singletrack with more to be added. It's a great place to ride and only getting better.

Review: Lots and lots of fantastic work from a team of dedicated volunteers has brought these trails back from the brink. Some smoothing and packing will need to happen throughout the spring, but it's on it's way back! Wonderful place, and kudos to all the volunteers!

Review: Swtichbacks redone and rerouted, lots of winter maintenance. New sections added and markers are now up. 8 mile loop in place, soon to be 10.

Similar Trail: N/S at LBL or Brier Creekish, with a few more flat cruising areas in between.

Review: Lots of work being done over the winter. Logged area being reclaimed, and trail improved and extended. Returning to original glory. Gonna be a great trail.
