If ever a trail had it all ...
I rode this by parking on Tillman, and riding up Briary 10 miles to the top of Reddish Knob. The Timber Ridge trail from there, lined to the top of Wolf Ridge, and down that.
The top of this trail is old school single track at it's best. Lots of rocks, narrow, steep in places, good fun. The lower section that's been re-routed is flowy and fast. By the time you get there, your hands are ready for it, they get awfully tired of grabbing the brakes on the steep sections up top.
This trail is the essence of mountain biking. You'll suffer to get to the top, unless you can find a sucker to shuttle you up, but going down removes all your doubts: You will do this again.
