I tried to cheat on the uphill by going up Schoolhouse Ridge Rd and using the Schoolhouse Connector to get to this trail, but the connector was no joke. So, a strenuous ride (or hike!) up, but a lovely view of Grandfather Mountain from the top and a moderately technical and very fun trip down over the humps that used to be jumps. Remote, but worth it!
