Mountain Biking Wapiti trail
#108 of 283 mountain bike trails in New Mexico
Starting at the trailhead located off of Hwy 526 across from the main boat ramp parking lot. You climb a steep hill for about 200 yards to where you come to a fork in the trail, if you go left you will keep climbing for about 1/2 mile. If you go right, you'll go slightly down hill for about a half mile before you start gradually climbing. This is a loop trail which is about two miles in length. This is one trail that you could encounter wildlife such as bear, elk, deer, lion and turkey. Beautiful trail. This trail connects to other MTB trails such as Lake to Lake, Ponderosa and Opportunity trails.
