Trail Description
About this trail
Other than sandy single track, there are log crossings, fire trails with lots of switchbacks and some good rooty conditions to keep you on your toes. Worth riding if you are on the coast. You can get about 10 miles in with very little repeated trail. Most of it can be ridden fast. There isn't any hassle with riding this trail at any time.

Review: A flat, sandy, looping maze. Nice for a sunny, leisurely family outing ride.

Review: I don't have much mountain bike experience but I had fun exploring the few trails available. My advice would be to stick to the singletracks and avoid the wide, leaf covered, sandy trail.

Review: Alright, but nothing special. I enjoyed the gravel and sand loop, but otherwise its just flat and non-technical paths that loop at random through pine trees.

Review: Pretty flat and no signage. Unless you are close, not worth the trip.

Review: 90% flat, with a very small section of dragon-backs along the edge of the forest. Highly recommended for beginners and children. Area is very dog friendly and you'll run into walkers w/ their dogs off leash. There's no real map of the system and you can get lost. My first few rides here, I just rode onto campus and followed the road back to my car.

Review: Unsure why this trail has such a low rating. I think it's a great beginner trail. A variety of wide and narrow paths, mostly flat, well wooded area. Just a couple small jumps, but great fun for the beginner mountain biker. A few people walking/running in the area, so watch out. However, I only saw one other biker when I was out there on a Tuesday afternoon.

Review: Most of this trail has been covered by new development and building on campus it's not worth the ride.

Review: I am a student at UNCW and have just started riding. From pictures I've seen and posts I've read it has seemed to change a lot over the years but there is still tons of singletrack trails. I have seen a few students out working on some dirt jumps and there are a few other jumps through out. The "front" section is really fun and fast and could almost be a pump track. A lot of the human made stuff has fallen apart or been removed. There is a wood bridge crossing a creek that probably won't hold up much longer but there is a real bridge a bit further up. Not a lot of people on it ever and walkers/runners are good about moving over. VERY MUDDY WHEN WET! Yes it's pretty flat but it's the coast what do you expect? There are visitor lots through out the school although I don't they are super close to the "entrance" although you can pick the trails up anywhere really.

Review: I tried to go there yesterday, but couldn't find a parking lot that didn't require tags. What am I missing?

Review: There are some okay trails here. Much of the system has been built on or changed by the University. Do Blue Clay instead.
