Timberland Hills, a Nordic skiing destination located just north of Cumberland, Wisconsin, has added mountain biking to its portfolio. Eighteen miles of singletrack have been built in the last few years, with nine more on the way this year.
When all is said and done, Timberland Hills will boast 30 miles of singletrack.

This is a gem of a trail system in the central Wisconsin hardwood forests. Upon arriving you'll find a very large parking area and a very comfortable meeting house, complete with comfortable seating and a change room. There is no running water, and the toilet is a well constructed out house.
| ThankThere is a requested trail fee - $10 daily and $40 annual -- which is on an honor system.
There are beginner, intermediate, and advanced trails winding through the woods. I would advise wearing clear lens eye protection rather than tinted -- the woods canopy is thick making it dark.
The intermediate and advanced offer good and appropriate challenges in drops, rock gardens, switchback berms, and hills (didn't ride the beginner). There are ample loop configurations to keep your interest.
There are two camp sites available on the lakes for those so inclined.
The trails are well maintained throughout the system.
This destination is worth the drive.
