Trail Description
About this trail
SWW is one of those "small distance, big punch" Massachusetts' ride. You're never THAT FAR from the cars, but the creative use of the land, with constant turns and switches, keeps you on your toes. Speaking of toes, watch `em - there are some nice gnarly rock passages and up and overs here amidst the trail. This isn't a flow destination - it's one for a great workout over a 3.5 mile loop, with an additional few miles you can add on at the Time Trials (TT) trail.

Review: The trail system known as Sutton State Forest (same as the SWW) are some of the most creative trails around the area. Every time I ride there I run into people who have traveled an hr or more to ride there. So many new crazy roller type trails with some good short flowy ones as well. All trails are loops with few intersecting trails and are not for the faint of heart. Whoever gave these trails a intermediate ranking hasn't ridden there in a long much has been added to this great place so I highly recommend going and riding'll be amazed!!

Review: When I first rode WW last year, we bore right immediately entering the trails, which puts you on a 4-5 mile loop that basically comes back to where you started. There are no outs, and it's pretty fun. Yesterday I got a tour of the TT trails a bit down the hill, and man, what a workout. Plenty of rock work to test your skills, challenging climbs (though no big elevation), and tight, twisty, turny singletrack you'd expect from the BUMS. Very enjoyable and great skill building.

Review: I really dug this place for an adventurous night ride and would like to go back in the day. The use of the land and rocks reminded me of Rayburn and Mendon Town Forest. GREAT work out, as you're constantly shooting up one small hill to descend another, and with the constant sharp turns, keeping up momentum is hard (at least in the fall with the leaves and pine needles)
