Trail Description
About this trail
This is a very pleasant slight upgrade ride along side the Steamboat ditch out to the \"Hole\". This is a multiuse trail but most people or runners or bikers. Head west on the trail for apprx 3 miles where you come to an intersection. Keep ditch on your left all the way out until you reach the \"Hole in the Wall\". Ditch has water in it from May through late fall. Dogs are allowed. This version is an out and back.

Review: As of August the trail remains in good shape, none of the deep dust of Tahoe trails. Trail grade is 0% most of the ride with only brief sections 1% but the typical rocks of Reno trails may unsettle Bay Area beginners used to smooth trails. The double track splits into two singletracks after hole in ground, then the steep climbs and descents begin.Overall good trail for a spinning type aerobic ride unlike the anaerobic climbs in the rest of Reno.

Review: Real flat can get a little rocky and sandy but perfect for kids first ride. Really more of a narrow fire road than actual single track but some single track does loop off of it a various points. ,most of them involve climbing back up to the main trail though. Fun for various levels however because if ur really dropping ur spouse u can loop back to them on a single track. Did I meant ion it is extremely non technical

Similar Trail: Fire roads.

Review: This was the perfect trail to start riding on. Its very flat with minimal inclines and awesome scenery. Be forewarned, however, the wind can get gusty and we came across two different snakes (each about 2 feet long) on the way to the Hole in the Wall. I would definitely recommend this trail to anyone looking to start riding in Reno...

Review: I ride this one often it is very nice aside from you can get flats pretty easy and fast on the rocks on the trail. You have to deal with various other walkers, joggers, dogs etc. I like the fact it is pretty long, good views, not too technical pretty much a good ride for anyone who is willing to ride on anything other than pavement.

Review: Great sight seeing, easy flat trail that has wildlife all over. Watch out for snakes in the spring! I ran over a couple and did not realize until after I ran over them and was scared beyond my wildest dreams!!!!

Review: Yea I rode this trail a lot while living there, great after work ride. There are many single track routes that take off from the main trail and either loop back or run down to the Truckee River and the paved bike trail that follows the river all the way through Reno.
