Nice series of x-c ski trails now open to mountain bikes. Rolling terrain, with a few hills. Almost all wide singletrack, through stands of white and red pine. Great fishing in area lakes. Backcountry campsites on neighboring Cutfoot Sioux National Recreational Trail, but camping is permitted throughout area, unless posted as "No Camping."

From Minneapolis/St. Paul, take US Hwy. 169 north to Grand Rapids. Turn left (west) on US Hwy. 2 to MN Hwy. 46, just past Deer River. Turn Right on 46, go North 12 miles to Cutfoot Sioux Visitor Center. Park in lot at VC. Simpson Creek Trails can be accessed off either end of parking lot. Cutfoot Sioux Trail starts across the highway, or can be accessed through the Simpson Creek system. Maps available at the Visitor Center.
