The trail begins approximately 33 miles west of Sunriver and a few miles east of Charlton Lake. The trailhead is 4 miles west of Hwy 46 (Century Drive) on Forest Road 4290, where the Clover Meadow Trail #21 and Round Meadow Trail meet the road from the north and south, respectively. Road 4290 is often quite rough, especially beyond the trailheads.
