Trail Description
About this trail
Ride up the hill behind the gate, trail curves around to the dam, then the fun begins. Short climbs, a few technical/rocky sections, some steep descents and downhill turns. You will find it hard to believe you're in Oklahoma. Lots of cactus, bring spare tubes and tweezers. If your tires leave the trail, they will go flat.

Do not ride in the mud. This mud is evil. This stuff sticks like crazy glue and will clog up everything on your bike, and you will walk out carrying a 60 pound glob of mud and metal.

Review: Nice trail system here but I've seen it marked as beginner or intermediate but I'd have to say it's more difficult than that. There are a lot of climbs up steep rocky portions that will test the most experienced riders. Lots of cactus right off the trail, I pity the person who takes a spill in the wrong part of the trail.

Review: Very disappointed in this trail. Used to be a great ride, however most of the trail is overgrown and has not been maintained. There are deep ruts making climbs extremely difficult in places. I hope it gets worked on.

Review: Is a great trail normally, however due to more rain than usual is overgrown in August (whoever thought things would be green in Aug?). It is overgrown enough to make following the trail in sections very difficult. The trail itself is in good conditions, you just can't see it to follow! The dam is still out, so you have to circle inspiration point and come back to the middle. So, basically, I ride it in a figure 8. Makes for a nice, strenuous ride!

Review: Nobody rides this trails, don't even talk about maintenance... trail is a blast when it's not overgrown... very slow when it's overgrown since all the grass, plants and roots get in your tires and drive train; easy to break a derailleur. Good downhill sections! Eveytime I come to work in Oklahoma I stop and ride here, is a bummer because most of the time is not well taken care of. Need to get a day off and come do some mowing myself...

Review: Trailhead is right by general store, near the mini golf. Noob rider! Had a lot of fun did a lot more walking up the grades and down them. Some areas were extremely fun to coast down. Others had rock gardens and extremely tight turns. Great views, park staff were nice. Didn't have any trouble with the cactus or spines. But they are abundant! Bring extra tubes!

Review: Just got back from my third time here. There are multiple trails here with really easy sections, and short difficult sections for beginners like myself. Longish, steep climbs do exist, and there are some fun, narrow, and bumpy downhill sections that I've tumbled on before. I wouldn't ride wet as I had to spray the nasty fat clay out of the crevices of my bike. There are quite a few good views to be had, just mind the cactus inches from the trail's edge. There are rocks, clay, and deep, narrow trails in some areas. A really cool series of trails that has some difficult areas for experienced riders, and some challenging sections for beginners.

Review: Great Trail for the experienced mountain biker! There are only a few options for the beginner and family, but this is really a skilled mountain biker trail. Lots of great riding on this trail, markings are fair with some signs giving distance and direction and various intersections, map from the visitor center is paper and falls apart when riding so download the topo map from this web site...so pay your fee and join! There are some great views, wicked climbs and great descent sections with a few areas to jump or drop. There is a significant amount of Cactus are very close to the trail for most of the trail so be careful. Flats if you run tubes are almost a given. I had to pull off my shoes and socks to pull barbs out of my toes when I rubbed a cactus with the top of my foot. So keep a knife, tweezers and some tape handy in the bag.
