Review: first time riding Rock Cut today, been wanting to for awhile. Lots of trails, my favorites were southwest of Pierce Lake, where there were more hills, curves, roots, rocks, etc., and in the woods. Some trail links were under a major construction project near the boathouse, but you could still get around it. I agree that the park needs an upgrade to maintenance, but trails were still pretty well marked. Cell phone signal is spotty at best, so make sure you take a pic of the trail guide, as there are many trail spurs and connections you may want to explore.

Review: How could you give this trail a 1-star? It's getting grown-in, I'll admit, and there are some logs that could use some attention from a chainsaw but it's fun, good loops, some fun acceleration and small drops/jumps. It's pretty nice for being so close and accessible Spring-Fall. If things get overgrown, bring your machete to cut 'em back or, better yet, volunteer to help out on the trail crew building the actual trails. We could use some more jumps and techy spots, other than that, enjoy the ride bro and bro-ettes!

Oh, also easy place to park at the campground nearby and doggo-friendly so your furry companion(s) can have some fun too. I think it's a great little spot that could use some love to make it awesome.

Review: These are the closest trails to me so it pains me to say this but don't waste your time. 90% of the year the trails are overgrown. It takes months or even years to clean up storm damage. When they do actually get to trail maintenance, such as erosion, their solution is sand, feet of sand. Normally I wouldn't mind a little sand but every corner, after every downhill, feet of sand. Combine this with trails being overgrown and it's pretty dangerous. Don't bother coming here if you want any kind of flow

Review: Rock Cut looks great right now! Trails have never been better. Most everything is cut back. Plenty of trails to explore.

Review: Fun trails to ride and they are great for conditioning. Not much for terrain as far as hills and obstacles go for mountain biking. Not a whole lot of single track either and this park gets pretty full on the weekends. Tons of parking is available, and the lake is open for swimming during the summer months. Makes for a refreshing swim after a hard day of biking. The paved bike path will take you into Rockford for food options if you get tired of riding in the mud.

Review: I ride this trail to get a quick workout but prefer to drive about 35 mins farther to John Muir in Kettle Morain. Parts are shared with equestrian riders so you have to watch for horse poo but not much :) . I believe trail A. Some good rooted and rocky trails for a bit of a challenge. Watch for hikers and other bikers on the downhills that have a lot of brush blocking view. Here is a vid I made of Trail F at Rock Cut: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fc6qR3yDII8

Review: Made up of many small fun loops. I think it would be beneficial to ride this one with a local rider or riding group. I feel like I missed a lot of the good stuff, but I will definitely good again.
