Trail Description
About this trail
These trails are the result of a combined effort of volunteers and SFA University. They are approximately 8 miles long when ridden in their entirety. There are several shabby, but informative trail signs to guide new riders around. The majority is technical and tight singletrack with several ascents, descents, and quick switchbacks. Bridges have been placed in two areas on the north end of the trails. On the southern portion are more trails with the local favorite, "Scooby." Scooby is considered an advanced trail by the locals with almost a dozen good size jumps, several berms, super fast and flowy switchbacks, and even a bowl that you drop down into and shoot out the other side. Be sure and be aware for riders coming up the wrong way as this trail is extremely fast. Other trails on the network are North Loop, Gateway, Perimeter, Labyrinth, and Creekside.

Review: Beginner and intermediate trails are long and drawn out. The black diamond (scooby) is where it's at. It's fast and to the point. Has nice features. I think the trail itself needs better maintenance. But overall a good run

Review: SFA did a good job at fitting in a good amount of fun riding in to such a small space. Not what I generally think of when I think of mountain biking just being a westerner and all, but I have been having a lot of fun on them and they present a unique challenge with all the leaves and roots!

Review: Decent trail built by the college. Packed a lot of features into a small area but I definitely wish the trail was longer. Plenty of added features and a few fast flowing areas. Love the trail along the creek, luckily OSHA has no say in trail design.

Review: Supertight singletrack with diverse trails that meander up and down luscious, forested hillside and along side a creek providing obstacles such as wooden and concrete ramps, rock patches to traverse, bowls/half-pipe formed into the earth, downhill hair-pin corner challenges, and platforms to give you an idea. Trails from beginner to advanced, each consistent to its own intentions, Labyrinth: a maze-like track changing directions and altitude, providing a smooth flowing run that ends into Creekside: balance the cliffs cut by the creek while powering over mounds, and dirt ramps that go with the terrain. The Bois d' arc: a grueling up hill battle with rocky obstacles to power through and more challenging incline. Plus like 5 more and they (SFASU) always working on trail, adding, strengthening, cleaning. Its tha bomb

Review: Fun set of trails, all tight ST. A little bit of everything, Better than most trails at colleges. They managed to get some good flow into the trails despite the small acreage. Definitely enough trail to qualify as a gateway drug/trail. Advanced trail is technical enough to keep expert riders interested. The "Downhill trail" has a elevated feature, a wall ride, and a nice jump. Scooby was a perfect trial to get my suspension dialed in, also the most fun. Don't think even riding every in of trail could come up with more than 5 miles. Great place for a quick ride if in town.

Review: Rode the trail on my way to Tyler, and was not disappointed. Covered beginner to advanced type trails in a assortment of loops. Though, it was a rather short ride and I would enjoy it more if I was a local. It's not worth traveling to from more than an hour away. There were two advanced loops with Scooby being the more fun of the two. I was able to complete about 5 laps around Scooby within 30 minutes. If you are in the area, I would highly recommend checking the trail out.

Review: Such an awesome trail system for Nacogdoches! (People really don't know what they are missing out on) Over 6 miles of pure singletrack in the heart of the pineywoods, with intertwining trails and loops. Most of the trails include trail features, like jumps, drops, skinnies, rock features, bridges, ramps & more. These trails caused me and my husband to become obsessed with mountain biking. I can't wait to visit home in Texas and shred up these trails again! :)

Review: A little something for everyone! A few trails flow decently. Works the real estate really well. pretty trees surround the singletrack. Plenty of features for an exciting time. Much room to improve. Still a young trail system. Excited for the future.

Review: As of August 2011 this trail has recieved some loving Perimeter now has 5 ft Wooden Tabletop to achieve the spped needed for the next feature . Which is a nice 3 ft tall ladder bridge with a 4-5 ft long step down gap into a fast paced slope leading to a tabletop and huge wooden berm. very fun section of trail. Watch my video above and you can see the layout of all the main features.
