NY Thruway to Exit 19 (Rt 28) - Take Rt 28 North for approximately 1 hour to the town of Arkville - In Arkville you will come to a Rail Road crossing, make a right BEFORE the tracks (you should see a Plattekill sign) - Follow this road to the stop sign (1/4 mile) and make a right - Take this road for approx. 3 miles and keep a look out for a BIG RED BARN on your left side - Approx. 100 feet past this barn you will make a left (look for the small yellow Plattekill signs) - Follow this road up the mountain and keep an eye out for the Plattekill signs - this will take you right to the mountain, approximately 3 miles up the mountain.

Had a great day there. Their map could certainly use improvement, but I found a few staff there who were knowledgeable and friendly.
| ThankI wouldn't recommend this trail for beginners, novices. make sure you have spare tube and downhill gear wouldn't be a bad idea.If you are looking for more of a cross country trail ride this aint it.The cc trails have old race tape and are not easy to follow.
| ThankThe trails are very, very poorly marked. Yes there is a map, but it does not help much when up on the mountain. The staff was not friendly or accommodating.
| ThankPlatekill has it all !!!
| ThankGreat XC and of course awesome downhill !!
I agree...rent a bike....you'll be glad you did it to theirs and don't have to fix yours !!!
Amazing !!!! Rent a bike it will be less expensive than what you'll end up doing to your bike. Be sure you have body gear. Not for beginners. A must ride !!!
