I have to respond to the last couple of reviews that don't seem to be fair at all. First of all, the paved trail isn't even part of the trail to review and homeless camps? Whatever. There is one spot that at times has somebody's garbage but it has always been cleaned up pretty quick. That's the price I guess for being in the middle of the city. There is another part that goes next to some type of factory too but the upper 5 mile section is great, as I often see deer or other wild life. Workers do a great job cleaning up downed trees etc. as well as fixing features. A lot of work is put into this trail and I am grateful because I typically don't have time to travel far to Rocky Ridge or Camp Mack. I can hit this quick a few times a week and stay in shape and have fun in nature at the same time. It's also a very challenging course when trying to make quick times.
