Trail Description
About this trail
Moose Odyssey is the main trail for this John Morton designed trail system. With several options to pull off onto single tracks to lengthen your ride, it's not only challenging but scenic. The trail system climbs to the top of Libby hill then circles the top before returning to the bottom.

Trail Q&A
Rider Questions

Q: Is there jumps -Guest

A: We biked these trails this weekend and there are some awesome jumps, but not easy to find. They are on an orange blaze trail up at the top that isn't on the trail map (which was mostly for skiers, hikers, and snowshoers, from what I could tell). My son loved the jumps.

Review: My son had a soccer tournament at the middle school this weekend, which is where these trails begin. In between games we explored the trail system. The best part was straight up the hill on the road and then just to the north of the top, where we found some really fun single track. It isn't on the trail map, so you have to discover it. The Ghost Trail was fun too, and a good way to descend back to the trail head.

Review: Rode this trail today. I took the Lynx trail to the moose odyssey to the ghost trail to the outback. The outback trail was tight, Rocky, roots, rolling hills. A nic loop that brought me back to the moose odyssey trail. I did the moose odyssey loop back to the Lynx trail to the parking lot. The trails were all extremely well marked & at every trail intersection there were trail maps. Like the previous review, not a whole days riding but enough to get a good ride in.

Review: Libby Hill Forest Trails have a little of something for everybody. The main loop is a wide grassy trail suitable for beginners. Sections of singletrack for intermediate and advanced riders spur off from the main trail. The Harold Libby trails is a 1.2mi singletrack of intermediate difficulty. From the back of that trail is the access to the 1.0 mile Outback trail which is more advanced. Several smaller singletrack trails crisscross the trail system.

There isn't a whole days riding available here but it's good for a few hours away from everything and only about 2 miles from the Gray turnpike exit. Access is free with an optional donation post at the trail head.
