Trail Description
About this trail
Lots of climbing, you start with a 2 mile hill then a tuff rock garden. You ride down to the valley, ride or walk a short 25% road and then start the second climb around one mile, it' easier then the first hill. The last 3 miles is all down hill to the parking lot.

Review: I rode this trail last summer while staying across the street at the campground with the same name. It was difficult getting any information about the location of this trail, even at the campground. The trail is accessed by climbing the dirt road about a mile up past the zip line business. At the intersection turn left and the entrance is quickly on the left. Others posted that the trail is 8 miles but it seemed more like 3 miles from the actual entrance. The trail has not been maintained. I did this solo and did not have shuttle buddies which would probably have made this much more enjoyable. The state park trail is a far, far better trail. Still, it was fun to do once.

Review: These three trails are mainly frequented by gravity riders as they are easily accessed by a shuttle road which is used by the zip line business. They are on private property and are sort of unofficial in being part of the greater mohican XC trail system. There are many black diamond features, some without ride arounds so be cautious your first time down. It's a great place to get your feet in DH/Freeride if you live in Ohio. The trails vary in maintenance because so few people ride them anymore. They are worth your afternoon if your in the area!

Review: There always seems to be confusion. There are two separate trails. Mohican state park trail which is the full 24 miler and Mohican wilderness which appears to be the 5-8 miler. Gonna try the wilderness trail shortly. Just did the Mohican state park and it kicked my ass....but great trail.

Review: Actually this trail is not 8 miles, but 24. It is long, steep, and fairly rocky. There are ways to exit about half way in by riding the highway back to mountain bike trail head #1.
