I love this place and pretty much consider it my home and go-to ride. If you don't have a guide, it can take a few rides to figure out where you're going because it's large and the good singletrack is located mainly in a few sections with fire roads and doubletrack connecting it all. But once you get a route figured out, you can just rip. There are some good technical challenges and a lot of twisty, flowy singletrack (way more than the 10 miles advertised here) built and maintained by NEMBA. The only drawback is the very limited parking area (12-15 cars max), but I've always gotten lucky.
Regarding issues with locals that Host has mentioned in two reviews, I've never experienced any of that. I've had many interactions with hikers and dog owners and they've all been positive. I've never been attacked, verbally or physically, and no one I know who has ridden there has either. I'm not trying to discount or invalidate Host's experience, just offering my own experience. With that said, I will also say, I don't understand the need to drag a place down with two 1-star ratings to say the same thing.
