About this trail
This is a nice singletrack, great for a nice ride. The terrain consist of dirt/sand (Sand is not a problem). Many climbs and descents with some tight squeezes and many switchbacks. Some roots, several small creek bridges, and some log crossings. Great use of the land and nice loop. Well worth trying out.

Review: Had a great time on this trail. Hilly and smooth but with lots of fun roots to pick your lines through. Other riders are very friendly and helpful.

Review: suggest parking/going into the trailhead behind church...some good technical loops...trees get in on your handlebars on your turns so wear your helmets and hit it hard.

Review: As of 08/12/2017 there is a sign stating this trail is closed due to land owner issues. Would have been good to know before I drove all the way here.

Review: I'm a noob, so read this review with that in mind. The trail is top notch, some really fun downhills with some small jumps and a few pretty tough uphills with pine roots the size of your leg, it's about half uphill and half downhill and they get pretty steep in some spots. Some really cool wooden bridge/walkways dot the path, the trail had a lot of runners and other bikes this morning so stay on your toes and keep the earbuds out. Every now and then you'll hit a patch of deep loose sand that eats up your speed, but 90% of the trail is nice hard packed dirt/gravel. No major muddy spots other than what's still running off from hurricane Harvey. In my opinion, this trail is a lot harder than the Kincaid loop trail as far as the climbs and I probably would've enjoyed it more with a little more riding time under my belt. I parked at the east boat ramp and took the trail until the end, It's not a loop so after you reach the end you can either go back the way you came or hang a left when you hit the blacktop and stay to the left, it'll bring you right back to your truck.

Review: The trail is definitely open. This trail is a total delight. I travel 200 miles from SE TX and spend the weekend just to ride it. I love it, full of climbs and descents! The trail steward does a great job with the maintenance and is working out any issues with the neighbors.

Review: I have to agree with all the reviews on here with the exception of one thing...the trail markings. its not that its not marked well enough, I think its overly marked...to confusing. maybe its not to the locals who can ride out here often, but as someone like me who only gets to visit this area once a year its too much, and too complex. However, outside of that...one of the best kept and maintained trails I have ridden in the USA! the trail has always been really fun (especially for 27.5/26s), but the improvement that Kevin has put into this trail over the last two years is incredible. great use of the little space its in, and really good flow.
