Mountain Biking Lake Ridge Trail

****   Add a review
#148 of 203 mountain bike trails in Tennessee
#8,681 in the world

Starting at the south end of Steele Creek Park Lake, you go up and along some of the ridges just east of the lake. Follow the orange square blazes. High Ridge Trail cuts off to the west (left) about 2/3 of the way along and the trail finally descends to the beautiful, aptly-named Hemlock Hollow trail. Lake Ridge Trail has been rated advanced-intermediate (blue square w/ black diamond), which seems fairly accurate. It's a lot of both up and down and quite rugged in several places. I believe there's one messy creek crossing. You can't see much from the overlook near the top, but it's a short, fun little side trip. Overall, a challenging, but pleasant ride, good for an intermediate rider looking to up their game.
