Review: My home trail that I learned to mountain bike on. MAMB has put a TON of work into the trails in the last year alone and it shows! Short green loop to get warmed up and then a 4.5ish mile long blue loop to have some fun on. There are a few punchy climbs and short descents that include optional jumps and drops. Also, a fun skills park to learn and sharpen skills on. (Some previously sandy sections have been repaired and made more rideable)

Review: 4.5 loop and 1 mile loop. Small skills park. Pretty fun. Several small jumps in the long loop. Would like to see bigger jumps but overall a good time. I go out there all the time. Well maintained. Some good uphill climbs and downhill fun. Most difficult obstacles can be avoided if desired. To get to the trail head you go past a bow and arrow range and park at the dog park. Trail head is just past the gated dog park.

Review: Very interesting trails. Slightly sandy to work on handling skills, twisty with slight ups and downs. Unfortunately big loop was wet and closed. Gotta come some day to do entire trail. There's also well made skill area with stumps, skinnies, teeter-totter etc.

Review: The trail is a great place to learn to mountain bike and gain confidence as well as a place for the more experienced to have fun and hone some skills. The trail can feel fairly short after several times of riding but the trail is designed to loop for continuous riding. The new "prairie" section of the long loop is a little rough (Like bumpy, just needs to be ridden) and can be slightly confusing but the Mankato Area Mountain Bikers (MAMB), the local IMBA chapter, is doing a fantastic job with turning it into a beautiful, flowing trail. With the introduction of the skills park area designed to help build a wide range of trail skills and the new long loop reroute, Kiwanis is turning into a great local trail!

Review: This is a wonderful 5 mile one way single track diamond loveingly being exposed from the earth on the banks of the Minnesota River. The skills area has now been upgraded to excellent. Thank you to all those involved in the making and maintanence of this Jewel. Kiwanis Mountain Bike Park "Dog Mt" john

Review: Trail is smooth and fast, MAMB has done some good work on keeping this in good shape. They are building a skills area near the trail head which looks fun! There is a Beginner/Intermediate loop and then an intermediate/intermediate with a cool seesaw feature and interesting berms and rock gardens. Cool area to get some quick miles and flowy turns in or take some beginner friends

Similar Trail: Elm Creek, just shorter and easier

Review: Fast improving trail system that gets better nearly every time you ride it. Unlike the trail description, I'd say the level of difficulty of the trail doesn't exceed intermediate anywhere yet at this point. The trails are single direction and nearly impossible to get lost on.

Review: This trail system is still very new as of 2014 and still being developed. It is a more raw trail than you will find at most singletrack trail systems. There isn't too much elevation to work with, so lots of rolling terrain. We are in the process of building boardwalk over trouble areas as there is a lot of sand in random spots. But it makes for a challenging ride.
