Trail Description
About this trail
This is "Wilkesbermo." Since 2002 there has been nearly 50 miles of bike-optimized MTB trail built at Kerr Scott. The ribbons of singletrack that carve around the reservoir provide a thrilling experience to say the least, largely due to the hundreds (yes, hundreds) of bermed and banked turns. The system was named an IMBA Epic in 2011. Need to know...The US Army Corps of Engineers enforces a trail closure policy during wet weather or freeze-thaw conditions. Good to check the Kerr Scott twitter page before you go... https://twitter.com/kerrscotttrails

Q: I travel through the area for work. Is there any local bike shops that do demos or rent bikes? -JayB119

A: Yes! One of the most popular shops in the area and that offers rentals is Cooks Sporting Goods.

Q: I would these trails be for beginners -Guest

A: Yes, but a more mild trail with less technical areas would be the Cub Creek Park trails in Wilkesboro if you're sticking to this area.

Review: lots of leaves in November, well marked trails, lots of fun and burns and flow. Nothing too technical, felt like I wanted to ride it all day.

Review: This is one of my favorite trails systems in the whole state...Warrior Creek brings me back by itself, even without factoring in the other two. Awesome.
