Trail Description
About this trail
Network of multiple trails, each with varying degrees of difficulty. This rider only rode five trails over the course of three enjoyble hours. Fairly frequent fallen logs prove to be relatively easy hops. Certain trails provide plenty of air space with natural and trail-made ramps. Difficult climbs and switchbacks lead to trail-blazing chutes and a few brake-hugging downhills. Occasional creek crossings are very doable with a little planning ahead. Absolutley beautiful scenery with signature Peoria-area ravines. Incredible deer-spotting! (They can be within 15 feet of riders, sharing the trails which can pose occasional hazard). Loose gravel-packed dirt in some area can pose threatening to helmets.

Review: Riding here would be a lot better if there was some signs. I saw 1 which was confusing and didnt help ! This trail has a couple rechnical climbs that are more intermediate - advanced . The downhills are eroded with roots , so they are technical as well. Inrode counter clockwise , butbhad set out to ride clockwise. The trail ended a couple of times and I had to try to figure out which way to go .I parked by the diamonds and bathrooms , whichnwas a plus tomhave ..

Review: Great workout! Tons of awesome log rides. Smooth fast Downhill descents with some nice drops to some brake grabbing, hold on and have fun sketchy downhill parts. Fun trip

Review: Many options for how much to ride. Lots of fun descents with an equal amount of fairly strenuous climbs. Throw in a good amount of roots, rocks and bridges and it's a recipe for an excellent workout! So much fun!

Review: Not Farmdale but I'm sure it is much better when it is not leaf covered. The fast descent was sketchy but I rode it anyway.

Review: Nice trails that branch off of a main fire trail. Easy to get to the park.

Review: My favorite track in the area. More technical than most, multiple climbs and descents. Great single track scenery. Plenty of trail options and can be ridden in either direction.

Review: Indy is also known as Marquette Heights. It is one of 6 great trails in the Peoria area maintained by PAMBA. Maps of all the trails are on It has the most elevation change in the area with lots of hills and good descents. There are also lots of logs and natural obstacles. You can park at the bottom of the hill as you turn on to Lasalle Blvd or at the top by the baseball fields. At the bottom the get on the old gated road heading into the woods and you'll find the trail after about 0.3 miles. If you park at the top next to the watertower follow the paved walking path between the baseball diamonds and the woods. You'll find the trail on your left as you wrap around the outfield of the 2nd field. The trail can be ridden either direction, but I prefer clockwise.

Review: 12 mile network of XC type trails. Everything from easy flowing to very steep short sections. Fair amount of logs, G outs, rollers, and can get some serious air in a few places. There is a central "easy" single-track running lengthwise through the network, allowing for mix and match or bail out. Quite scenic and the deer say hi. Rode in both Dir. Clockwise flows better. Review: Indy really takes advantage of the Illinois River Valley terrain. I had my worst spill(s) here so it gained my respect quickly. I enjoyed the difficulty both technically and physically. Early morning risers will enjoy the deer sightings as well.

Review: Indy is the first place I rode. All of the trails are worth riding just be prepared to climb to them, as you start at the bottom. A long ride up the main utility road is not a bad warm up and from the top you can go in multiple directions.
