Trail Description
About this trail
There are a multi-use trails. We rode the #5 trail which was a good ride. Some tough climbs and fast double track downhills. We only had time to run once. I would suggest heading down for a weekend for some camping and exploring to see what the park has to offer.

Review: Better for hiking rather than bicycle riding. Not maintained well for bicycling.

Review: I can only tell you we hiked the trails. We plan on returning to ride. Lots to do. They even have backpacking shelters on some trails

Review: So I was looking forward to this place for some time. I rode trails #2 & #3 on Friday Sept 14, then attempted trail #5 on the next day. This area is pretty hilly and dense, so the ground stayed very wet after a small rain, two days ago. Trails #2 and #3 were in decent shape. Park officials recommend trail #2. Trail #2 was good, fast flowing downhill with some climbs. Pretty layout. Trail #3 is only fun if you go down, its more of a 4x4 trail/horses. If you take trail #2 and hit #3 you will be going up three the whole time until you reach the road at the overlook. Then cross the street and it gets better, more singletrack type. Not as good as trail #2 though. Trail #5 needs serious maintenance. It looks as if it hasn't been cut in a while. Weeds and such taller than me on the bike. The trail was also washed out real bad and you can tell it has been for a while. Trail #5 had some big climbs and appears fun, just in bad shape even without the small rain. Also, people on their horses travel on the trails they aren't supposed too. So, yes the trails were choppy and smelled like poo. Be on the look out! Recommendations: Don't go for maybe 4 days to a week after rain. I waited two, not long enough. And bring water, just trust me on that one. Overall, potential here is great Big climbs and descents! Just that maintenance would be nice.

Review: The trails at Indian Cave State Park have something for everyone. There's several trail heads and covers over 20 miles of up and downhills and a few drop-ins. Watch for hikers along the trails. The park's map has the main trails marked but is missing a few, probably due to people making their own trails.
