Franz lake
Nice warm up for a ride. We rode in from town and explored other areas off the trail, for a total of 9 miles.
| ThankThis is a nice trail to just cruise around when you're exploring Salida. As has been mentioned, the scenery around the area more than makes up for what the trail iacks in difficulty.
| ThankWhile the trails here are entirely unremarkable, the views of this small lake, with the massive 14ers in the background, are pretty sweet! This would also be a great place to take a total novice to mountain biking.
