Trail Description
About this trail
A network of single track loops connected by either single track connector trails or hard surface roads. Trails vary in difficulty but are mostly intermediate with some difficult trails. Plenty of technical down hills and climbs. Trails have a large amount of bare roots but are well maintained.

Not heavily used, single track without a lot of logs or other features - plenty of vegetation in summer - out of the sun. Can hit some real "buffalo wallows during raining periods.

Review: Great trails with some elevation and medium level technical sections. Very nice views. Wish there was biking info posted anywhere in the park as it is severely lacking in any kind of direction for biking. Looking at the map you'd think the park is hiking only. Once you get on trails there are a couple of IMBA signs so you do feel like you belong. The trails are very well marked though. The directions on single-track took me about 30 minutes from where the actual park is. Just look up Elk Neck State park and go there.

Review: Elk Neck State PARK is on the southern end of Turkey Point - which is different from Elk Neck State FOREST which is further north and closer to the town of North East ... the State PARK trails are more technically challenging while the state forest is longer and less frequently used for some reason

Review: If your looking for a decent place with some intermediate trails this place isn't bad. Granted I'm just getting back into mountain biking but I had a good time here. If you park at the campground it is 3$ a person, fair hill is 3$ per vehicle and has a lot more trails. The beaver marsh loop, ravines loop and pond loop are the three trails we hit and we got a decent workout. There a few places you could get hurt pretty bad(riding on the edge of a 20foot cliff) if your not paying attention. Lots of wildlife and scenery to check out along the trails.
