Trail Q&A
Rider Questions

Q: Do you get a ride to the top -Guest

A: No. This is a state park where you must park and ride or hike the trails. The trails here are IMBA Epic status, and Are awesome to ride. Best bike type to ride here is a trail/enduro bike.

Review: Really good trail. Unlike Blackjack at Buffalo Creek, this trail fits in nicely with the other trails in the park. Blackjack is for 7" travel freeride bikes in the middle of a 29er hardtail trail system. El Alto on the other hand is perfect for the trail bike your going to be riding the rest of the stuff on. Perfect to step it up a notch but not overly technical where you need a freeride bike.

Review: Fun trail, defiantly challenging. It had good views and if you have someone riding with you there are a few places to get nice action shots. Be prepared to ride on rock slabs.

Review: This is the must hit spot for strong riders heading to Curt Gowdy. You get a perfect combination of challenge under your knobbies and cool scenery to distract you.

Review: Agree with the previous reviewer. Several steep friction slabs to test sheer leg strength and lung capacity. Route finding can be tough the first time out. This is a must ride for those headed to the Gowdy trail system. Trail loops off of the Albert's Alley; can be ridden either clockwise or reverse; clockwise may be a little easier on the climb. Don't miss the out and back to the overlook.

Review: Rocks, rocks and more rocks, but everything is cleanable. I would recommend only for advanced or expert riders. Also, be in shape and be on top of your game. Seems a lot longer than it actually is. This trail will test even the best riders, and will make you bleed if you lose concentration.
