Trail Description
About this trail
A 10 mile trail from mile 39 Seward Highway to Resurrection Pass Trail. The first 3 miles have gentle up and down grades through spruce/ birch and hemlock forests with occasional open meadows. The trail then climbs steadily but gradually up narrow Devils Creek valley high above the creek for the next 5 miles through areas of brush and open meadows. The trail levels off entering the alpine valley of Devils Pass. Snow can persist at higher elevations until mid June. Strenuous uphill ride going in this way.
27 mile ride to Resurrection Pass South Trailhead. 32 mile ride to north trailhead. Intermediate to difficult ride. source: fs.usda.gov

Review: Also called Devils Pass, this is one of the more fun mountain bike decents in South Central. It's technical enough to be fun for the most experienced riders, but is by no means un-managable for relatively new riders. It is a steady climb going one way and a glorious decent heading the other. Dug into the side of a steep valley, it has some great exposure/views.

It can be paired up with either end the Resurrection trail, as it intersects in roughly the middle. If you do that, however, it's easiest to do with the Cooper Landing side of the trail, as the car shuttle is much shorter. Highly recommend.
