Review: Fun ride.. some smooth with slight inclines and declines. Roots, rock gardens, logs, and a fallen trees occasionally. Watch out for the horses and make sure you know your loop/route in advance. I felt lost at one point and kept going by areas I past several times before

Review: Good trail for beginners like myself. It was my very first mountain bike trail. So had a great time. Need to work on my shifting but that will come with practice practice. Did better on my second lap. Good day for me to go because I was the only one on the trail. Which made it easier for me. (Thursday)

Review: Good trail near Gainesville to ride. I like to mix the laps up each time for variety. Add the Orange loop in your circuit. Ride the Orange Loop starting from both entrances. I like to ride clockwise from the parking lot first. When you finish the rock garden of the Blue Loop near highway 29, turn right to start the Red Loop for a second loop and ride over the log at the beginning. Ride through the creek crossing before the open area. Where it intersects with the blue , start the Orange from the other end. When you exit the Orange, go right on the Blue, ride until you come across the hard left for the Yellow, and take the left. Ride the Yellow and keep to the right at forks. Turn right out of the open area, and continue till you see the parking lot. 3rd loop- turn left onto the Blue Loop. Take the horse path instead of the hiker route before the bridge to try another creek crossing. There is a sign on a tree denoting which way for hikers and horses. Continue around the Blue loop. Skip the Orange on the last lap. You will end up close to 10 miles. The rock gardens, logs, and rock piles make it fun riding from both parking lot entrances. Three laps is a very good work out. The trail towards the back near the residential area and on the other side near highway 29 tends to have water and/or mud after rain storms. It takes awhile to dry.

Review: Good trail for beginners and an intermediate section. Trail is well kept but could have more work done as far as making it a little more technical. Sometimes there are a lot of hikers tehre on the weekends.

Review: Fun small network of trails right next to I-66 in Gainesville. While there isn't much that is difficult, the Orange loop has several rock gardens and switch backs that will test your skills. Does see a lot of horse traffic, but that has dwindled in the past year

Review: Great ride, but the trail takes a while to dry after a moderate rain fall, so give it a day longer.

Review: Nice trail in a State Forest that is tucked right into a very busy area. Great for a workout after or before work. The trail overall was in great shape. There were a couple of muddy areas but a team of volunteers were working on them while I was there. Hat's off to the volunteers for putting in the time to make improvements and perform maintenance on this trail.

Review: Nice trail system, easily accessible from I66. Most if it is relatively easy, with some log piles and a few creek crossings. There is a more challenging orange trail that is more technical and full of rock gardens.
